Our in-office treatment does not use the hot, blue light to lighten teeth that other systems use. Often, patients who undergo the light-activated whitening treatment experience an elevated level of tooth sensitivity following the procedure. This can last days or weeks. By eliminating the light, which can over-dry the teeth, less tooth sensitivity can be achieved.
Prior to starting tooth whitening, our doctors will perform an examination of all your teeth to be sure your teeth are healthy and that whitening is right for you. We may also recommend a regimen of prescription fluoride toothpaste prior to whitening your teeth to reduce the potential for tooth sensitivity.
Take-Home Whitening
Willow Street Dental uses Venus White Pro, a simple method of lightening the teeth that you perform at home. In only 20-30 minutes a day, you can have lighter teeth in about 2 weeks. Our team begins by making impressions of your teeth. Using this unique mold, we create soft, custom fitting whitening trays for you. You will be shown how to fill these trays with Venus White take-home gel for each at-home whitening treatment. Our team will give you specific instructions on how to use the trays to attain the best results.
In-Office Whitening
If you're looking a brilliant smile with quick results, you can have whiter teeth in just about an hour and a half with our in-office Venus White Max treatment. Our team will prepare soft, custom fitting whitening trays, and a trained professional will apply a more concentrated Venus White solution directly to your teeth. Two to four applications are performed in a series until the desired level of whitening has been achieved.
Max Plus Whitening
For the most dazzling results, our team recommends a combination of at-home and in-office whitening that has been proven to whiten even the most stubborn teeth. Our team will prepare soft, custom fitting whitening trays for you, and you will use them with the Venus White Pro gel at home for two weeks, followed by a 1.5 hour in-office Venus White Max whitening session, and then finish with two more weeks of at home tray use.
